Early 20th Century silk embroidery, circa 1920. Approx 133cm square excluding border with an additional 73cm border/tassels to all sides (52 inches square with 28 inch tassels/border).
An especially charming example, this one's all about the colours. Turquoise, teal, blues and purples, greens and pink all working harmoniously and vibrantly together on the bold red ground.
In very presentable and attractive condition overall with no losses to the embroidery. The ground and border intact, no pulls, tears, holes etc. A few small pulls/hanging threads to the embroidery. The ground has some evidence of localised sun damage, approx to the centre on our images, where the ground has faded to pink. One very small area on the border and tassels has some bleached out threads, see image in the listing. Please check the images carefully for detailed condition.
